Work to what will become The Lexicon’s new pedestrian pathways and squares is now in full swing with granite being laid and preparation work being undertaken across the town centre.
In order to facilitate these works, it will be necessary to create a new temporary walkway under the new structure which will form part of Braccan Walk to enable pedestrians to walk from Stanley Walk to the High Street.
Simon Russian, development manager for Legal & General on behalf of Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, says: “We are very aware that the town centre pathways, particularly in the High Street are disrupted and we will be doing all we can to minimise the impact on pedestrians throughout the duration of the work.”
Improvement works to High Street East have started and will continue to move down the High Street over the coming months.
Pedestrian access will be maintained where possible throughout the improvements and retailers and businesses in the affected areas will remain open for business as usual.
