The regeneration of The Bull public house in Bracknell town centre took a major step this week with the delivery of five timber Glulam beams. The new curved beams, will be erected over the coming weeks to form the new 3,000 sq ft modern timber frame extension.
Simon Russian, development manager for Legal & General on behalf of the Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, comments: “We are really pleased with the progression of works to The Bull restoration. The new beams add a stunning, modern aspect to the historic building, which are sure to create a real talking point when it opens as part of The Lexicon.”
Cllr Marc Brunel-Walker, executive member for economic development and regeneration, said: “The restoration of the Bull public house is moving ahead well - it's an important part of the town’s history. I'm really happy to see work being undertaken to preserve the structure of the pub for future generations, whilst the new extension will enable exciting new opportunities for its future."
