We have recently carried out some research looking into the shopping habits of modern Britain and with The Lexicon opening next year, are delighted to reveal that there is a great desire to support local high streets.
The research revealed that Brits still favour in-store over online shopping, with half of those polled visiting their local town centre at least once a week (54 per cent) and one in ten visiting every day.
More than two in three shoppers (68 per cent) told us they visit their local town centre more, or as much as, they shop online.
Almost a third of young people aged 18-24 continue to visit their town centre, because they like to make a day of it with dining and leisure (32 per cent). In fact, more than half of those polled think a better mix of restaurants and leisure will attract more shoppers to a town centre as it enhances the experience (52 per cent).
